Stand By Me

{tuning: Standard (EADGBE)}
[G]          [Em]          [C]     [D]     [G]

[G] When the night has come
[Em] And the land is dark
And the [C]moon is the [D]only light we'll [G]see

No, I won't be afraid,
No, I won't be afraid
Just as long, Just as long as you stand by me.

{c: + drum with rim shot and muted guitar, on ...sky}

If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
And the mountains should crumble to the sea,

I won't cry, I won't cry,
No, I won't shed a tear
Just as long, Just as long as you stand by me.

{soc:}
{c: 2nd guitar played chords, drum plays snare on every 2nd}

So, darling, darling, stand by me,
Oh! stand, oh darling won't you stand now
Stand by me.
{eoc:}

{c: Repeat Verse 1 and 2, drum plays the snare on every 4th}
{c: Repeadt Verse 2 and 3, drum plays rim shot}
{
  [C]: CHORUS}

{c: Full instrumentation, as in Chorus + Hammond organ}

When all your friends they have gone
You just stand by me
Oh darling, won't you stand now, stand by me.

{c: Don't forget to stay on G, Markus!}
[G]When ever you're in trouble
You just stand, ohh stand.
Won't you stand, won't you stand, won't you stand....
