I Do Believe

        In my own way right or wrong
        I don't t[A]alk too much about it
        It's something i keep working[E] on
        I don't h[B]ave too much to build on
        My faith has never been that str[E]ong

        He's a holy man,they say
        He keeps t[A]alking about tomorrow
        While i keep struggling with to[E]day
        He preach[B]es hellfire and brimstone
        And heaven seems so far a[E]way

        I do be[A]lieve in a higher po[E]wer

        One that loves us one and all
        Not so[A]meone to solve my probl[E]ems

        Or to catch me when i fall
        He gave [A]us all a mind to think with
        And [E]to know what's right or wrong
        He is t[A]hat inner spirit
        That keeps us st[B]rong

        In m[E]y own way i'm a believer

        But not in voices i can't hear
        I be[A]lieve in a loving Father
        One i never have to f[E]ear
        That i sh[B]ould live life at its fullest
        Just as long as i am h[E]ere
