Ourselves To Know

[D]

[D]We left Constantinople in a t[G]housand ninety-[D]nine
[D]To restore the [G]one True Cross was [A]in this heart of mine
[G]To bring it to Jer[D]usalem and [A]then sail home to [D]Rhodes
[D]We took that holy [A]ride ours[G]elves to [D]know
[D]We took that holy [A]ride ours[G]elves to [D]know

D over harmonica part

[D]Everyone got famous,[G] everyone got [D]rich
[D]Everyone went o[G]ff the rails and [A]ended in the ditch
[G]But we had to take that [D]long, hard road to [A]see where it would [D]go
[D]We took that holy [A]ride ours[G]elves to [D]know
[D]We took that holy [A]ride ours[G]elves to [D]know

[D]
[D]Now if you make a pilgrimage I [G]hope you find your [D]grail
[D]Be loyal to the [G]ones you leave with [A]even if you fail
Be [G]chivalrous to [D]strangers you [A]meet along the [D]road
[D]As you take that h[A]oly ride [G]yourselve[D]s to know
[D]You take that holy[A] ride you[G]rselves t[D]o know
