&8232;
Well I'm overworked, and I'm underpaid,
&8232;
An' it's overcast, gloomy and gray.
&8232;
The days are gettin' shorter,
&8232;The [Ab]nights are gettin' colder,
&8232;Summerti[Ab]me is gone, but [F#]that don't mean it's over.

[chorus]
&8232;
I got a dimestore cooler made of styrofoam,
&8232;
An' it's loaded with limes and cold Coronas,
&8232;
I pointed my truck towards Pensacola,
&8232;But before I go I had to phone ya a[F#]nd say
&8232;
"Hey sugar, shotgun's where I want ya,
&8232;
With not much more than your sunscreen on ya,
&8232;
There's a sweet little piece of beach
&8232;
With our name on it, so doggone it,
&82[Ab]32;W[A]hy w[F#]ait for summer?
Why wait for summer to show up?
&8232;
Why wait when somewhere down there,
&8232;Summer is waitin' on us?" [E] [Ab] [F#] [Ab]
&8232;
Let's bust a move south, towards that equator,
&8232;And get the heck out of this refrigerator.

Let's follow that heat to a summer wonderland,
&8232;We're gonna make snow angels in the soft, white sand...
&8232;
[chorus]
