Sometimes She Forgets

[G]

1.[G]If you see her out tonight

And she tells you that it's just the lights
That [C]bring her here and not her lonelin[G]ess
  That's w[D]hat she says but s[D7]ometimes she forg[G]ets

2.If she tells you she don't need a man
She's had all the comfort she can stand
You best believe ev-ery word she says
But don't give up 'cause sometimes she forgets

And s[C]ometimes she forgets that not too l[G]ong ago she swore
She w[A]asn't gonna let her heart be br[D]oken anym[D7]ore

3.So now she keeps it locked away
  And it grows colder everyday
And it won't warm to any man's caress
That's what she says but sometimes she forgets

4.Instrumental (same chords as verses)

And sometimes she forgets that not too long ago she swore
She wasn't gonna let her heart be broken anymore

1.If you see her out tonight
And she tells you that it's just the lights
That bring her here and not her loneliness
That's what she says but sometimes she forgets

  Y[G]eah, that's w[D]hat she says, but s[D7]ometimes she forg[G]ets
So don't you d[D7]are give up 'cause sometimes she forg[G]ets
