Flying In My Sleep

One n[D]ight a silver balloon [G]swept me over the [A]sea
   [D]across the Atlantic I found myself[G] headed towards [A]Paris
I h[D]eld on to the ropes for dear life it was [G]cold enough to [A]freeze
   the ba[D]lloon burst and I started to fall then I [G]woke sudd[A]enly

2x [D], [G], [A]

The [D]very next night I saw some whales [G]swim Santa Monica [A]bay
  [D] I flew down to greet them I w[G]atched them [A]play
in my n[D]akedness I swam and she spoke in her [G]singing sonic [A]way
the mot[D]her of them all took my hate then [G]send me on my [A]way

   [C]Flyin[G]g in my sleep [D]
   [C]Flyin[G]g in my sleep [D]

   I vi[D]sit you almost every night[G] I float over your [A]bed
[D] you lay there with open eyes and your [G]husband sleeps in your [A]arms
   I can [D]see that you`re thinking of me I made a [G]mistake I should have [A]stayed
I s[D]lide between the both of you one [G]kiss and I`ll be on my [A]way

   [C]Flyi[G]ng in my [D]sleep
   they [C]say it`s a gift[G] but it`s a curse for [D]me
   [C]flyi[G]ng and I [D]see
   [C]broken [G]dreams and tra[A]gedy

[Bm] If I could I would [G]stay with you forever
[Bm] in a dream world that`s [G]complete
[Bm] I`ve got my life and [G]you got yours
[A] but in the night we [D]me[A]et[G] [A]

Well [D]I can`t wait till the sun goes down[G] and lay myself to [A]sleep
  [D] I forget about the real life in a [G]dream world inco[A]mplete
I f[D]all through my mattress up to the clouds [G]high above the earth[A]
and I [D]find myself looking for you through this[G] wonderful uni[A]verse

    [C]Flyi[G]ng in my [D]sleep
    they [C]say it`s a gift[G] but it`s a curse for [D]me
    [C]flyi[G]ng and I [D]see
    [C]broken [G]dreams and tr[A]agedy

    Oh I`m [D]flying in my [G]sleep [A]
