If You Ever Get Famous

[C]

[C]if you ever get famou[F]s
d[C]on't forget about m[F]e
[C]I hope its everythin[F]g that you thought it wo[C]uld be [G]
if you ever get famous
don't forget about her
cause she was there boy when nobody cared who you were
you better remeber her
If you ever get famous
I say a prayer for you heart
and keep you eyes open wide and beware of the sharks cause they come out in the dark
and If you ever get famous
show your face now and then
cause all our days are just so many waves in the wind
we can't get em back again

(so many days in the wind)
let them roll on by
(so many days in the wind)
(roll on roll on)
(so many days in the wind)
let them roll on by

If you ever get famous
in your white limousine
it's a rainy night and your headlights at the water in the streets
and the rain beats, down
keep an eye on the driver
Cause as the highway unwinds
boy the way home fades and can be so hard to find
oh my oh my, oh my

(so many days in the wind)
you keep running round
(so many days in the wind)
you've been running all your life
and I hope you find what you're looking for

If you ever get famous
you don't forgert about me
I hope it's everything that you thought it would be
