In the recording Shelby will do this 4-line intro to the song - sing
strongly strumming (1strum) each chord of the verse :

There will come a day when they gather and stand around
Revel in the glory and my body in the ground
There will be disciples and a shroud that covers me
I won't be afraid cause my soul has been set free

[Am]- [Em]- [Dm] - 4x

verse = [Am] [Em] [Dm]
100 so miles from the Mobile River
Lord I can't have her so I got to kill her
Heaven's only days down the road
A liquor store down on the county line
Don't want all the land but what's next to mine
Heaven's only days down the road

[G7sus4]I been insane since I was 9
[Asus]Never was the cryin' but the fightin' kind
[Dm]Oh yeah [Dmmaj7]
[G7sus4]Load up the gun full of regret
[Asus]I ain't even pulled the trigger yet
[Dm]Oh yeah [Dmmaj7]

verse = [Am] [Em] [Dm]
Lost all the faith a man can own
My hopes are empty and so is my soul
Heaven's only days down the road
Look at my fate in the paper now
I want to put her back but I don't know how
Heaven's only days down the road

Nobody wants me down here no more
Look at what I did to make then hate me for
Oh yeah
Can't blame the whiskey or my Mammy's ways
2 little girls are better off this way
Oh yeah.

Play harder [Am] to [Em] to [Dm] Ohhhh ooooo [Am], [Em], [Dm] 4x

Oh he[Am]aven's only days d[Em]own the road [Dm]
Oh heaven's only days down the road.
Oh heaven's only days down the road.

[Am] to [Em]
Down the road.
Down the road.
Down the road.

(two gunshots- I don't think the song would be the same without the demonstrative sound
at the end)
