Year Of The Flood

[EM] [C] [G] [D]

-------Verse 1

Can anyone [EM]explain
[C] I shared your truth [G]today [D]
 So far away the [EM]rains
[C] And the oc[D]ean
 I see your flower [EM]growing
[C] I see your rivers [G]flowing [D]
 I see your skies [EM]open
[C] [D] STOP
In the year of the flood

---------Chorus

You may w[G]alk and you may r[D]un
You leave your [BM]footprints all around the [EM]sun
And every time the [D]storm and the soul w[G]ars come
 You just keep on w[D]alking
 It’s been this [G]way from the s[D]tart
Everybody w[BM]alking round with holes in the[EM] heart
Everybody h[D]olding up skies in the d[G]ark
 As the stars keep f[D]alling

 Like comets blazing trails
Through the shadows and the veils
 All along the valley
 In every sunrise spent
 All our beginnings end
 All our doves sent
 For the hour of knowing

You leave your footprints all around the sun

Everybody holding up skies in the dark
 As the stars keep falling
