The Cricket Song

DDGDDDAD X2

[D]The air la[D]st night was [G]warm an[D]d moist

[D]In a dream[D] I thought I h[A]eard yo[D]ur voice

[D]Well I wen[D]t outside and st[G]arted t[D]o sing

[D]The cricke[D]ts were doing the[A] very sa[D]me thing

(chorus)
[D]Me and the[D] crickets sing all[G] night lon[D]g

[D]Me and th[D]e crickets sing the [A]same damn song[D]

[D]A song [D]of how lo[G]ve shoul[D]d be

[D]A song of how y[D]ou should be wi[A]th me. [D]

(continue this pattern the rest of the song)

The crickets sing loud but they sing good.
The crickets sing like I wish I could.
I sing good but the crickets sing best.
Me and the crickets put the night to rest

Well I wonder if the crickets know
Where love comes from and where love goes.
If they know they're not sayin a thing
All they do is sit here and sing.

Yeah I really think you should be with me
Ask the crickets and they'll agree.
Yeah ask the crickets and they'll agree.
