Why Wait

[D] [G] [D]

What do ya say, girl, we do something crazy [G] [D]

Quit putting it off, you know what I’m saying
Ain’t like it [G]ain’t gonna happen, forever’s a given

It’s already written
Who we kidding baby, come [D]on
[A]The stars can’t line up any [Asus4]straight - e[A]r

Let’s do it now and think about it later

[D]Why wait another minute
For [G]something we should have done yesterday? [Dsus4]
[D]I know a little church
With a [A]preacher who could hook us up right away
[Bm]Love don’t need a reason
[G]Baby, I don’t see how I could [D]love you anymore than I [G]do today
So [F]wh[A7]y [D]wait [Dsus4] [D]

Now, I love your mama, let’s save her some trouble [G] [D]

And your daddy won’t mind if we save him a bundle
Girl, it [G]just so happens, that ring that you wanted

Well, guess what I bought it
It’s in my pocket, baby, come [D]on

[A]Let’s get it done, let’s get it on your [Asus4]left h[A]and

This is me, girl, popping the question

[D]Why wait another minute
For [G]something we should have done yesterday? [Dsus4]
[D]I know a little church
With a [A]preacher who could hook us up right away
[Bm]Love don’t need a reason
[G]Baby, I don’t see how I could [D]love you anymore than I [G]do today
So [F]wh[A7]y [D]wait

[F] [Em7] [D]

Let’s do something crazy
[C] [G] ‘[Bb]Cause crazy’s what you make me

[D]Why [G]wait another minute
Wait another minute, come [D]on

Well I know a little church
With a [A]preacher who could hook us up right away
[Bm]Love don’t need a reason
[G]Baby I don’t see how I could [D]love you anymore than I [G]do today
So [F]wh[A7]y [D]wait
[F]Wh[A7]y [D]wait [Dsus4] [D]

What do ya say girl we do somethin’ crazy

[Dsus4] [D] [C]

This is my interpretation of the song and is what I hear. Since
U-G doesn't always include the correct chord voicings, I have
included all of them in this transcription. Please feel free to
experiment with your own chord voicings.
