        I i[G]dly kicked a p[F]ebble
        [C7] Lyin' near my f[G]eet
        W[Em]hoa, I hear a weird n[B7]oise

[G] The cause of the comm[F]otion
[C7] Is right there on the gr[G]ound

        Imagine my surprise
        [Em7/D]Thought I'd left it at [Em6]home[C#] yeah

        I went into a shop
        Bought a loaf of bread
I sunk my teeth into it
        Thought I'd busted my head
Oh, I dashed to the dentist
Hey, hey, I got an awful pain, yeah
This man looks in my mouth and screams
        This boy's insane

        Imagine my surprise
Thought I'd left it at home, yeah
There's a lump in my mouth of my
        Own tombstone

(abbreviated verse: piano solo over first four lines; guitar solo
         from "Imagine my surprise" onward)

I went in to see a movie
        Got the only empty seat
I tried to stretch out in it
        Something blockin' my feet
        Finally the lights came up
        And I could clearly see
        A slab of engraved marble
        Just starin' up at me

        Imagine my surprise
I thought I'd left it at home
There's no doubt I'm sittin on my
