[D] [Dmaj7] [D7] [G]

[D]I don't ask for april sho[Dmaj7]wers,
[D7]I don't ask for pouring r[G]ain,
[D]I’m just sitting facing blue[Dmaj7] skies,
[D7]just sitting waiting for my luck to [G]change

[D]I don't think about the fu[Dmaj7]ture
[D7]Even with today takes to much [G]time
[D]So I'll just keep on chasing ra[Dmaj7]inbows
[D7]waiting on my chance to sh[G]ine

I don't k[D]now how to get there,
But I k[Dmaj7]now this bird has flown
I don't [Em7]care if I get lonely
cause the [G]flower needs to g[A]row.
And I kn[D]ow the wind will take me
and I k[Dmaj7]now the seed is sown
But I [Em7]need time, yes [G]I need tim[A]e
to gr[D]ow.

[D] [Dmaj7] [D7] [G]

[D]Well I don't ask you how you got h[Dmaj7]ere,
[D7]but what im doing means so much to [G]you
[D]You might never understan[Dmaj7]d me
[D7]But that's the difference between me and [G]you

[D]NO I can't give an explana[Dmaj7]tion
[D7]and you cant even underst[G]and
[D]so I'll keep chasing daydr[Dmaj7]eams
[D7]and you'll keep chasin[G]g sands (?)

I don't k[D]now how to get there,
But I k[Dmaj7]now this bird has flown
I don't [Em7]care if I get lonely
cause the [G]flower needs to g[A]row.
And I kn[D]ow the wind will take me
and I k[Dmaj7]now the seed is sown
But I [Em7]need time, yes [G]I need tim[A]e
to gr[D]ow.

This flight might not be simple,
This journey might be long,
My life has different meaning,
This is where I must belong
Ill always send you postcards
You’ll always know my name
Cus these are my dreams,
Cus this is my way.

[D]I don't ask for april show[Dmaj7]ers,
[D7]I don't ask for pouring ra[G]in,
[D]I’m just trying to to live my own l[Dmaj7]ife
[D7]You should try and do the sa[G]me

I don't k[D]now how to get there,
But I k[Dmaj7]now this bird has flown
I don't [Em7]care if I get lonely
cause the [G]flower needs to g[A]row.
And I kn[D]ow the wind will take me
and I k[Dmaj7]now the seed is sown
But I [Em7]need time, yes [G]I need tim[A]e
to gr[D]ow.
