Man In The Mirror

[Ab]I'm gonna [Eb/G]make a chan[Fm]ge, for [Eb]once in my [C#]life
It's gonna [Ab]feel real [Eb/G]good, gonna make a [Fm]difference, gonna [Eb]make it right
As I,[Ab] turn up th[Eb/G]e collar on[Fm] my favori[Eb]te winter coat[C#] this wind is blowin' my mind
I see the [Ab]kids in the [Eb/G]street, with not [Fm]enough to eat [Eb]
Who am I, [C#]to be blind? Pretending not to see their needs

[Bbm7]A summer's disregard[C#], a[C] broken bottle top
[C#] And a one man's s[C#]oul[C]
They [Bbm7]follow each other on the w[C#]ind[C] ya' know
'Cause they [C#]got nowhere to go [Eb]
That's why I want you to know [Ab]

[Ab] I'm [Ab]sta[C]rting with the [C#]man in the [Eb]mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways

[Ab] And no [Ab]mes[C]sage could have [C#]been any [Bb/D]clearer

If you [Ebm]wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a [Ab]chan[Eb/G]ge [Fm] [Eb] [C#] [Eb]

[Ab]I've been a[Eb/G] victim of[Fm] a selfish[Eb] kind of love,[C#] It's time that I realize

There are [Ab]some with no [Eb/G]home, not a [Fm]nickel to loan [Eb]
Could it be [C#]really me, pretending that they're not alone?

[Bbm7]A willow deeply scarred[C#], s[C]omebody's broken heart
[C#] And a washed-out[C#] dr[C]eam
They [Abm7]follow the pattern of the [C#]win[C]d, ya' see
Cause they [C#]got no place to be[Eb]
That's why I'm starting with me[Ab]

[A] I'm [A/C#]starting with the [D]man in the [E]mirror,
I'm asking him to change his ways

[A] No m[A/C#]essage could have [D]been any[B/D#] clearer
If you [Em]wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
'Cause when you close your heart
Then you close your... [A]mind!

I'm starting with the man in the mirror,
I'm asking him to change his ways
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change
