Still Young

[G] [Cadd9] [G] [Cadd9]

They were juniors [G]in high school [Cadd9]
They didn’t know right from wron[G]g [Cadd9]
They went to all the s[G]chool dances [Cadd9]
And they danced to their favorite song [G] [Cadd9]
[D]And Johnny still loves r[C]ock and roll
[D]And every night he plays [C]
[D]And some day he will figure out [C]
Why his best friend had to move away [G] [Cadd9]

They go to l[G]unch and they talk about [Cadd9]
What will happen when they grow old [G] [Cadd9]
They figure t[G]hey will all be famous [Cadd9]
And they will never have to be [G]alone [Cadd9]
[D]But Paul is failing school aga[C]in
[D]And he still sells his pot [C]
[D]And one day he will finally realize [C]
That these jobs don’t offer [G]a lot.[Cadd9]
[G] [Cadd9]

They were still yo[G]ung
And they were so sure[Cadd9]
That one d[D]ay they’ll be what they wanna be

And some[G] day they’ll know [Cadd9]
That life [D]is not all about rock-n-roll
[G]And I pray they do [Cadd9]well
Cause now th[D]ey’re on the verge of breakin down [Em] [D]
They were all still young. [G] [Cadd9]

They’ve known each other[G] since third grade [Cadd9]
She was his very first true love[G] [Cadd9]
Everyone thought they[G]’d get married [Cadd9]
And he figured she was sent from above [G] [Cadd9]
[D]But every time they talked, they fought[C].
[D]But they had something specia[C]l there
[D]Cause they loved each other way too much [C]
To stop to think or even care. [G] [Cadd9]

[Am]Best friends may not fight [D]
[Am]Some may never dare [D]
[Am]But when it comes straight down to it [D]
Real friends wouldn’t care. [G] [Cadd9]
