Hercules - Gospel Truth I

The intro is easy enough:
e|----------------------------------------------------------|
B|----------------------------------------------------------|
G|----------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------|
E|----5--5---3--4--5----------------------------------------|
Play that to this:

We are the muses, goddesses of the arts, and proclaimers of heroes.
      Heroes like Hercules!
Honey, you mean HUNK-ules. Whoo-hoo, I'd like to make some sweet music with him...
Our story actually begins long before Hercules... many eons ago...

[A]Back when the world was new, the planet Earth [D7]was down on its luck.
And everywhere giganti[F]c brutes called Titans ran am[E7]ok!
It was a nasty pl[A]ace! There was a mess wher[D7]ever you stepped.
Where chaos reigned and ear[F]thquakes and volcanoes never s[E7]lept!

And then along came [C]Zeus! He hurled his thunderbolt- He [C7]zapped!
Locked[C] those suckers in a vault! They're tr[C7]apped!
And on his [G]own stopped chaos in its trac[D]ks.
And that's the gospel t[A]ruth!
The guy w[A]as too type [D]A to just relax[E7].

And that's the world's first [A]dish: Zeus tamed the globe while st[D7]ill in his youth.
Though, honey, it may[F] seem imposs'ble- That's the gospel tru[A]th!
On Mount Olympus l[F]ife was neat and [E]smooth as sweet ve[A]rmouth
Though, honey, it may [F]seem inposs'ble- [E]That's the gospel tr[A]uth!

End on 'E'

Please, PLEASE, post any corrections you see fit. It took me a while to find out
that the F was in there, and the "Along came Zeus" part is probably wrong, but it
was the best I could do. Again, PLEASE post any corrections. Sorry if the chords
aren't over the correct lyrics, the thing is hard to line up. If you listen to the
song, you'll probably find it out.
