Almost Doesn't Count

[Dsus2] [xx0230] [D2] Thanks!
[Em/A] [xx2000]
[Em7] [x20030]

I think it sounds best by not strumming the bottom e string
except when a chord is played once to ring out.

[G] [C] [G] [C]
[G] [C] [G] [C]

Almost made you [G]love me[C]
Almost made you [G]cry[C]
Almost made you [G]happy, baby[Dsus2]
Didn't I, [C]didn't I
You almost had me [G]thinkin'[C]
You were turned a[G]round[C]
Everybody [Em/A]knows
[D] [G] [G] -once
Almost doesn't count

Almost heard you [G]saying[C]
You were finally [G]free[C]
What was always [Em]missing for you[Dsus2], baby
You'd found it [C]in me
But you can't get to [G]Heaven[C]
Half off the [G]ground[C]
Everybody [Em/A]knows
[D]Almost doesn't cou[G]nt

[C] I can't keep lovin' you, one foot outside the door
I hear a f[G]unny hesitation
Of a heart that's never [Em7]real[D2]ly su[C]re
Can't keep on tryin' if you're [C2]looking for more[C]
Than all that I could [Em]give you
     [Em/A] [D2] [D] -once
Than what you came here fo--or

Gotta find some[G]body [C]
Not afraid to let [G]go [C]
Want a no doubt, [Em]be there kind of girl[Dsus2]
You came [C]real close
But every time you [G]built me up[C]
You only let me [G]down[C]
And everybody [Em/A]knows
[D]Almost doesn't cou[G]nt

[C] I can't keep lovin' you, one foot outside the door
I hear a f[G]unny hesitation
Of a heart that's never [Em7]real[D2]ly su[C]re
Can't keep on tryin' if you're [C2]looking for more[C]
Than all that I could [Em]give you
     [Em/A] [D2] [D] [D] -once
Than what you came here fo--or

Maybe you'll be [G]sorry[C]
Maybe you'll be [G]cold[C]
Maybe you'll come [Em]runnin' back
[D]From the cruel,[C] cruel world
Almost con[G]vince me[C]
You're gonna stick a[G]round[C]
But everybody [Em/A]knows
[D]Almost doesn't cou[G]nt

Maybe I'll be [G]here[C]
Maybe I'll see ya '[G]round[C]
That's the way it [Em/A]goes
[D] -once [G] [C] [G] [C] [G] -once
Almost doesn't count

Have fun and RATE:)
