Make It A Point

[D]Let’s make it a point to start it [G]over
And maybe [Em]you’ll make it a point to break my [A]heart
And I’m so [D]sorry that it took me so [G]long to figure out
I’ve been in [Em]London, no I’m lying, I’ve been a[A]round

But you [G]know that’s how it [D]goes
You [G]know that’s how it [A]goes

Well I’ve been [D]listening to [G]your mix tapes
And pictures all a[Em]long the wall
As Death Cab tells the t[A]ruth about the Californ-i-a

Cause you [G]know that’s how it [D]goes
But you [G]know that’s how it [A]goes

[D]Let’s make it a point to break our [G]backs over these stars
We’re routing [Em]awkward California
      No chord
Route 66 is on our minds
We’ll [D]travel through the country as my [G]dad gives his advice
Oh, how I [Em]love him
He’s amazing to [A]me
And he says, “[G]Son, don’t you w[D]orry.”
And he says, “[G]Son, she’s just a l[D]ady who [A]doesn’t know her [G]ways and never
[D]will.”
