            [Em] [2: [Em9]]
        If loving you is wrong
        I don'[Gmaj7]t want[D] to be right
If [Cmaj7]being right means being without you
        I'd r[Am]ather live a w[Bm]rongdoing[Cmaj7] life [Bm]

Your mama and daddy say it's a shame
        It's a downright disgrace
But as long as I got you by my side
I don't care what your people say

Your fr[Am]iends tell you it's no future
        In l[Em]oving a married man
If [Am]I can't see you when I want
        I'll s[Em]ee you when I can

        If l[Cmaj7]oving you is wrong
        I don't w[Em]ant to be right
        If l[Cmaj7]oving you is wrong
        I don't w[Em]ant to be right

        Am I wrong to fall
So deeply in love with you
Knowing I got a wife and two little children
        Depending on me too

And am I wrong to hunger
For the gentleness of your touch
Knowing I got someone else at home
Who needs me just as much

[1: And] are you wrong to give your love
        To a married man
And am I wrong for tryin' to hold on
To the best thing I ever had

[repeat chorus]

(chords as per first four lines of verse)

[repeat verse 2 from "Are you wrong...]

[repeat chorus]

[Em]I don't want to be right
If it [Cmaj7]means being without you
[Em]I don't want to be right
If it [Cmaj7]means sleeping at night
[Em]I don't want to be right
If l[Cmaj7]oving you is wrong [fade]
