[Bm] x24432 Or 224432

[G/B] [C] [G/B]

Well I rode into town with the ragtop down
I was [C]lookin for that homecomin [G/B]queen

That three-by-nine lit hotel sign read
[C]Welcome back class of eight[G/B]y-three

There were football guys twice their size
[C]Cheerleaders dyin the grey in [G/B]their hair

The names were the same but the faces had changed
[C]I didn't recognize anyone t[G/B]here

That used to be us, we u[C]sed to be cool
With the [G]music cranked up hangin out after s[D]chool
That u[G/B]sed to be Jill, that [C]used to be Joe
Tell me [G]where in the world did we all [Bm]go
That u[G/B]sed to be us, [C] [G/B]that used to be us [C] [G/B]

I had a drink with some buds played a lot of catch-up
[C]Danced with my date from the [G/B]prom

But as hard as I tried until I closed my eyes
[C]Everybody I knew was [G/B]gone

There was Mr. Finch he taught English and French
[C]He was dancin with a couple of ca[G/B]nes

And that homecomin queen yeah the girl of my dreams
[C]She didn't even remember my [G/B]name

That used to be us, we u[C]sed to be cool
With the [G]music cranked up hangin out after s[D]chool
That u[G/B]sed to be Jill, that [C]used to be Joe
Tell me [G]where in the world did we all [Bm]go
That u[G/B]sed to be us, [C] [G/B]that used to be us [C] [G/B]

[Em]As I stand here and look arou[G]nd
[Em]I can't help but wonder who we'll be ten years from [G]now

That used to be us, we u[C]sed to be cool
With the [G]music cranked up hangin out after s[D]chool
That u[G/B]sed to be Jill, that [C]used to be Joe
Tell me [G]where in the world did we all [Bm]go
That u[G/B]sed to be us, [C] [G/B]that used to be us [C] [G/B]
