[A] [D] [A] [E] [A] [D] [A] [E]

Well, [A]I went down to the Grundy County [D]Auction
Where [A]I saw somethin' I just had to [E]have
My [A]mind said I should proceed with [D]caution
But my [A]heart said "Go a[E]head an' make a bid on [A]that!"

An' I said, [A]hey, pretty lady, won'cha gi'me a sign
[A]Id' give anything to make you mine all mine
I'll [D]do your biddin' an' [E]be at your beckon [A]call
[A]Yeah, I never seen anyone lookin' so fine
[A]Man, I gotta have her, she' a one-of-a-kind
I'm [D]goin' once, [E]goin' twice,
I'm [A]sold! On the lady in the seccond row
[A]She's an eight, she's a nine, she's a ten, I know
[A]She's got ruby-red lips, blond hair, blue eyes
[A]An' I'm about to bid my heart good-bye! [A] [D] [A] [E]

[A]Well the auctioneer was goin' about a mile a [D]minute
He was [A]takin' bids an' callin' them out [E]loud
An' I [A]guess I was really gettin' in [D]it
'Cause [A]I just shouted [E]out above the [A]crowd!

REPEAT CHORUS
[A]I'm sold! On the lady in the long black dress
[A]Well, she won my heart it was no contest
[A]With her ruby-red lips, blond hair, blue eyes
[A]I'm about to bid my heart good-bye! [A] [D] [A] [E]

[E]Yeah, we found love on the auction block
An' I [A6]hauled her heart away
Now [G]we still love to laugh about
The [E]way we met that day

REPEAT CHORUS
