Time

[D]

When I was young I dreamed of b[G]eing older [A]

Now that I'm older I [D]dreamed of b[G]eing young

I dr[D]eam of a time when t[A]here was no time at[Bm] all [G]

And I won[A]der where t[G]he time has gone [D]

When I was young I dreamed of h[G]ow I'd spend my life [A]

Now that I'm older [D]I spend my l[G]ife in dreams

The thing[D]s I've planned I've never done [A]

The t[Bm]hings I've done I never planned [G]

[A]And all the while it is later th[G]an it seems [D]

[G] Tim[A]e you[D]'re no friend to me

As you[G] go tickin by I [A]can h[D]ear the enemy

Each day [G]you add a number to [A]the things I'll never [Bm]be [G]

Oh Ti[A]me, your [G]no friend to me [D]

When I was young the road went on forever
Now that I'm older I see it isn't so
Once I took my time...now time has taken me
And no one has to tell me where it goes
