Georgia Mud

[G] [C] [G] [C]

[G]Bare feet hangin' off a tire swing
[D]Cotton dress barely hanging onto me
[Em]Setting sun cooling down the august heat
[C]Sweet magnolia in the air
[G]Lazy old river just floatin' by
[D]That boy was giving me the eye
[Em]River bank wasn't quite dry
[C]Standin' at the water's edge he said look 'em over here

[G]I felt it moving underneath my toes
[D]Soakin' in all over my clothes
[Em]We were laughing when he pulled me close
[C]And my heart went [C]thump, t[C]hump, t[C]hump
[G]He had a little bit on his lips
[D]When he gave me that first kiss
[Em]But it was perfect just the way i[C]t was
[C]Back then, me and him, big grins covered in[D] that Georgia mud

[G] [C]

[G]Think it took a good two days
[D]To wash all that dirt away
[Em]Another two years to forget his face
[C]He looked faded like a movie but every now and then I'd still

[G]Feel it moving underneath my toes
[D]Soakin' in all over my clothes
[Em]We were laughing when he pulled me close
[C]And my heart went [C]thump,th[C]ump, t[C]hump
[G]He had a little bit on his lips when he gave me that first k[D]iss
[Em]It was perfect just the way it w[C]as
[C]Back then, me and him, big grins covered in[D] that Georgia mud

[G]I felt it moving underneath my toes
[D]Soakin' in all over my clothes
[Em]Well it was hard to take it slow
[C]When my heart went [C]thump, th[C]ump, thu[C]mp
[G]He had a little bit on his lips
[D]I gotta say I didn't mind a bit
[Em]It was perfect just the way it [C]was

[C]Back then me and him big grin[D]s
