You [G]say you know love, but you are just reflecting words you [Bm7]hear,
No [G]iron in your veins could give you any sense of pain or [Bm7]fear,
It's [Em]just another lie, it's just another calcu[Bm7]lation,
And w[Em]hen the power's out, we're just another old sen[Bm7]sation,

This [G]blood keeps me alive, but what is it that runs through [Bm7]you?
Elec[G]tricity and wires dictating everything you [Bm7]do,
You [Em]tell me that you need me and all your memories are [Bm7]real,
But [Em]how do I know you don't just feel what you've been told to [Bm7]feel?

We [Am7]run around the rules, we run around the rules, we [G]run around the rules.
[Am7]Round and round, two by two, we [G]run around the rules.

There's [G]water in your eyes, and I know I'm the reason that it's [Bm7]there,
But [G]still I don't feel bad because I know it's you are more a [Bm7]spare,
And [Em]just behind your eyes are switches that can turn back [Bm7]on,
To [Em]clear away today til' all your memories are [Bm7]gone,
