The Solid Rock

My [D]hope is built on [A]nothing less, than Jesus'[G]s blood and righteous[D]ness

[D]I dare not trust the [A]sweetest frame, but wh[G]olly lean on Je[A]sus's n[D]ame

On Christ, the solid r[G]ock, i stand; All [D]other ground is sinking [A]sand

All ot[D]her ground is si[A]nking s[D]and

When darkness seems to hide His face, I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil

His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood
When all around my soul gives away, He then is all my hope and stay

When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone, fault-less to stand before the throne
