When The Heart Rules The Mind

[A] [G]

[Bm]Mother protect me, protect me[B] from my[Bm]self
Lately I can't tell, who really are my friends
Burning the candle, the candle at both ends
Through crowds, across floors
Each night I [A]just pre[G]tend

[Em]When the heart [D]rules the mind
[Bm]One look and [C]love is blind
[Em]When you want [D]the dream to last
[Bm]Take a chance for[C]get the past

[Bm]Watching the actor, that takes the [A]stage by s[Bm]torm
Stealing the limelight, while we're in the wings
Sometimes the hero, must play the underdog
But I don't feel the same
I must have [A]every[G]thing

[Em]When the heart [D]rules the mind
[Bm]One look and [C]love is blind
[Em]When you want [D]the dream to last
[Bm]Take a chance for[C]get the past

[Bm]Seasons will change
L [D]
You must move on
[A]Follow your [D]dream
