Since youve been 15 youve were confused
At the age its so hard to just be you
You got your friends, your records
The only thing that makes you feel whole
Youre trying to figure it all out
Sometimes you realise the fight is oh so futile
When someone else is telling you your wrong
You know your right
But no one seems to listen,
They say you're just a child,
So you turn and fight,
For me that is the only way
To step to what they say is the upper hand,
Don't let them take the upper hand
Don't let them take the upper hand

D -----------------------9- x2
A -------------------------
E -------------------------
You wanna go out and forget the day
Go out and just make your life seem real
Forget your mom and dad
Forget about your job, your home, your school
You take so much shit,
Your girl said it's over
You think about giving up
But don't you dare give up without a fight
You know you're right
But no one seems to listen,
They say you're just a child,
So you turn and fight,
For me that is the only way
To step to what they say is the upper hand,
Don't let them take the upper hand
Never let them take the upper hand
The upper hand
