Christmas Song

[Em] [C] [G] [D]

[Em] A frigh[C]tened virgin[G] teenage [D]girl
[Em]Receives a [C]message that [G]defies the laws
[D]Of this [Em]world; All [C]she can do is [G]weep and [D]nod
[Em]She's to [C]bring into this [G]world
The [D]Son of [Em]God [C] [G] [D]

[Em] God's [C]angels sound their [G]trumpets
And [D]blow their [Em]horns
Tonight the [C]long awaited [G]Savior is to be [D]born
[Em]The goodness [C]bound by Sa[G]tan
It has been [D]torn
[Em] With this [C]baby's precious [G]brow
[D]Ready for [Em]thorns [C] [G] [D]

[Em] A star ap[C]pears fulfilling [G]ancient prophe[D]cy
[Em]There's an ounce of [C]fear
As wise men [G]follow faithful[D]ly
[Em]The virgin [C]Mary brings [G]forth the human Sav[D]ior
[Em] And this [C]future king sleeps [G]soundly in the man[D]ger
[Em] [C] Soundly in the [G]mang[D]er

(Chorus 1)

[Em] Tonight [C]He is born so [G]one day He can [D]die
[Em] To heal hearts [C]that are torn and [G]live the perfect [D]life
[Em] So He can [C]hang upon a [G]cross
And we can [D]take His [Em]life
So we can [C]live as sinners and [G]He can pay the [D]price
[Em] Tonight [C]He is born so [G]one day He can [D]die
[Em] [C] [G] [D] (Chorus)
     But He will rise again

[Em] God's [C]angels sound their [G]trumpets
And [D]blow their [Em]horns
Tonight the [C]long awaited [G]Savior is to be [D]born
[Em]The goodness [C]bound by Sa[G]tan
It has been [D]torn
[Em] With this [C]baby's precious [G]brow
[D]Ready for [Em]thorns [C] [G]
[D]Ready for [Em]thorns
