We Went For A Ride

[Dm] [Bb] [C] [C]
       [Dm] [Bb] [C] [C]

[C]We went for a [Dm]ride, [Bb]mm [C]hmm
[C]We went for a [Dm]ride, [Bb]Oh [C]yea
[C]We went for a [Dm]ride, [Bb]la da dee [C]oh
[C]We went for a [Dm]ride, [Bb]Oh [C]oh

[C]We went for a [Dm]ride
Under[Bb]cover of the [C]twilight
And the [C]traffic on the [Dm]road
And there's [Bb]only you and [C]I
I hope we [C]never get back [Dm]home
'Cause I'm [Bb]feeling sere[C]naded
By the [C]coming of the [Dm]night
And I [Bb]wish we'd go for[C]ever
And I [C]wish we could just

[Dm]Dri[Bb]ve a[C]way
[C]We could [Dm]dri[Bb]ve a[C]way
[C]We could [Dm]dri[Bb]ve a[C]way
[C]Into the [Dm]nig[Bb]ht [C] [C]

We went for a ride
With your words of consolation
And the trees of crystal white
I'll be praying for a red light
To extend this precious night

'Cause we both know where I'm going
And we know it just ain't right
But there's nothing we can do
Except to keep on moving

Drive away
We could drive away
We could drive away
Into the night

We went for a ride, mm hmm
We went for a ride, Oh yea
We went for a ride, la da dee oh
We went for a ride, Oh oh

We went for a ride

Here we are
We are alone together

We went for a ride

Here we are
We are alone together

Here we are
We are alone together
We went for a ride

Here we are
We are alone together
Here we are

Here we are
We are alone together
Drive away
Drive away
To any place faraway

Here we are
We are alone together
Mmm yeeeeah...

::that's pretty much it...just those three chords over and over again...itz real
simple...when I sing it, I switch up the Bb, & the Dm in the "We could drive away..."
part... so my version goes like this:

[Bb]Dri[Dm]ve a[C]way
[C]We could [Bb]dri[Dm]ve a[C]way
[C]We could [Bb]dri[Dm]ve a[C]way
[C]Into the [Dm]night[Bb] [C] [C]

::it just gives it a different kinda textured sound, and itz easier for me to sing along
with...try it!! you got my permission ;) Enjoy::
