If I Should Fall Behind

[A] [F#m] [A] 2x

We [A]said we'd walk together

Baby come what may

Back from the twilight
Should we lose our [F#m]way
As we were [D]walking
A hand should slip [A]free
I'll wait for [F#m]you
Should I [D]fall behind wait for [A]me

[A]Swore we'd travel together

Darlin' side by side

We'd help each other
Stay in [F#m]stride
Each lover [D]steps on
So different[A]ly
So I'll wait for [F#m]you
Should I [D]fall behind wait for [A]me

[A]Everyone [D]dreams of
A love lasting and [A]true
You and I [D]know what this [F#m]world can [A]do
So let's make our[D]selves be
That the other may [A]see
And I ll wait for [F#m]you
Should I [D]fall behind wait for [A]me

There's a [A]beautiful river

In the valley ahead

There 'neath the oak's bough
Soon we will [F#m]wed
Should we lose each [D]other
In the shadow of the evening [A]dreams
Oh, I ll wait for [F#m]you
Should I [D]fall behind wait for [A]me

Darlin' I'll wait for [F#m]you
Should I [D]fall behind wait for [A]me

[F#m]Wait for [A]me
If I [D]should fall be[A]hind [F#m]wait for [A]me
[F#m]Wait for [A]me . . .
