Build my mansio[D]n next door to J[A]esus,
and tell the angels [E]I'm coming ho[A]me,
it doesn't matt[D]er who lives around[A] me,
just so my mansion[E] sits near the thro[A]ne.

I have no cast[A]les no ea[D]rthly kingdo[A]m,
but my cabin will [E]do till I get home,[A]
my mansions yonde[D]r on the hills of glo[A]ry,
oh I hope my man[E]sion sits near God's thro[A]ne.

Build my mansion next door to Jesus,
and tell the angels I'm coming home,
it doesn't matter who lives around me,
just so my mansion sits near the throne.

2
My mothers mansion may be close by me,
across the golden avenue,
she was the first one to teach me of heaven,
and the very first one to tell me about you.
