[G]In the German [C]sky there [B7]once was a p[Em]lane
[C]It carries 71[G] children and th[D/F#]eir mothers to spa[Em]in
[D/F#]Well this plane was sure somethi[G]ng
[B7]It was full of young Russi[Em]ans
[C]Proudly t[G]o gander at t[D/F#]opics discuss[Em]in'
[D/F#]Now Pete the S[G]wiss was [B7]doublin' shift[Em]s
[C]Jugglin' th[G]e iron co[D/F#]ntrolled by his lip[Em]s
[D]Not a minute to[C]o soon children [D/F#]fell to their d[Em]oom
[C]Struck dead in th[G]e air, orpha[D/F#]n a father or t[Em]wo
[D]He just laid in the a[G]lley Now[C] orphan Vit[G]aly
[C]met a young g[G]irl m[C]arried her quic[G]kly
[C]Was so damn in lo[G]ve th[C]at they had their two k[G]ids
[C]Had a great [G]job;[C] construction in Spa[G]in
[C]They were going to see[G] Papa fr[C]om Caucasus mountain [G]range
[C]Now that damn [G]Swissman cra[C]shed them into a pl[G]ane
[C]I will find where he li[G]ves
[C]Speak to his [G]face [C]with the blood in my [G]eyes
He will[D/F#] see my[Em] pain

[D]Many weeks pa[G]ssed
[D/F#]For fear of a s[Em]uit
[C]The airline said no[G]thin, V[D/F#]italy turned [Em]blue
[D]For the killing they [C]done
[B7]No apology ma[Em]de
[C]Is it 'cause we are R[G]ussian yo[D/F#]u treat us this [Em]way
[D]Through a friend that he n[G]ew Vi[B7]taly found [Em]Pete
[C]He came to his do[G]orstep ex[D/F#]pecting to sp[Em]eak
[D]But Pete blew him of[C]f
[D/F#]Threw down the pictures Vi bro[Em]ught
[C]Pictures of the[G] 3 most [D/F#]important he [Em]lost

As the [D]pictu[G]res f[F#]ell d[E]own[G]
[D/F#]Re-enacting the d[Em]ay
[C]Vitaly's eye [G]blackened no [D/F#]human remain[Em]ed
[D]Well so much can be sa[G]id
[C]For a man in his sho[G]es
[C]There's no glamour in [G]vengeance There's[D/F#] only this ru[Em]le:
[D]That the lives you[C] lost c[D/F#]an never come b[Em]ack
[C]And the deed [G]in return is [D/F#]worse than th[Em]e act

[D]Blinded by lo[C]ve and the [D]pain of his l[Em]oss
[C]He could not[G] remember the[D/F#] act of assau[Em]lt
[D]He awoke in his[G] room all cover[D]ed in blo[Em]od
[C]The cops they'd come kn[G]ockin they kn[D/F#]ew what he'd [Em]done
[D]The government lea[C]ned Vitaly[D] was fre[Em]e
[C]They called him th[G]e hero, a m[D/F#]an above king[Em]s
[D]A shadow of ma[C]n, they w[D]ere praising his de[Em]ed

[C]He was [G]alone
[C]Killed a father o[G]f 3
[C]No deed that he [G]did [C]could make him comple[G]te
[C]It could have been d[G]ifferent [C]if only Pete s[G]aid
[C]"I'm sorry for kill[G]in' the fe[C]w joys you h[G]ad"
[C]But now there's n[G]othin' [C]for Vitaly to[G] do
[C]But step off a[G] cliff or[C] hang in the [G]noose
[C]Robbed of forgi[G]veness that [C]he could'a g[G]ave
There's [D/F#]no man left to sa[Em]ve

[C] [G] [D/F#] [Em]

Later theres always this figure for [Em] and [C]
