Looking For A Lady

[D]Looking for a lady
I'm looking for a lady
[C] To ch[A7]ange my night to da[D]y

[D]Looking for a lady
I'm looking for a lady
[C] To ch[A7]ase my blues away[D]

Well, I [G]have a f[A7]ew in mind
But n[D]one in par[D/C#]ticula[Bm7]r
[G]I have h[A7]ad them before
But no[D]thing that [D/C#]was for sur[Bm7]e.

[D]And I'm in [C]no pos[G]ition to [D]barter
And I'm in [C]no cond[G]ition to play the ma[D]rtyr
And I'm [C]sadder [G]certainly but I'm [D]smarter
And I find[C] myself[G].

Chords repeat

Looking for a lady
I'm looking for a lady
To share my empty bed
Looking for a lady
I'm looking for a lady
To soothe my aching head.

Well, I have a few in mind
But none in particular
I have had them before
But nothing that was for sure.

And my feelings have grown
rigid like a wooden post.
And my love is like a curtain
that has been drawn closed
And my life just isn't going
The way I thought it was supposed to
And I'm crying and I find myself.

Looking for a lady
I'm looking for a lady
To change my night to day.
