[D]Stopped by to see[A] St. Thomas [F#]on a cold and dreary[B] New York afternoon
[Em]Something in the air was Oh so rare, [A]I don't know what it was but I know that it's still right there
[D]Scared[Em] lordy lord I'm sha[F#]kin I'm terrifie[G]d
Never be[Em]en much on religion but I s[A]ure enough just fell down on my k[D]ne[Em]es [F#] [G]

Livin in confusion, searching for truth that I never found

I needed something to really believe

Looked toward the heaven, On a dark and stormy winter afternoon

Something in the air was oh so rare, I'm not really sure what it was but I know for sure that it's still
there

Scared, Hey,ey,ey,ey,ey,ey I'm terrified

Never been much on religion but I sure enough just fell down on my knees

Ohhhhohhhohh

And I'm scared you know I'm shakin' I'm laying awake thinking about it now I'm terrified

Never been much on religion but I sure enough would like to hear the call

Come on now gimmee a sign you're listening to me,

You hear me talking, you hear me crying it's confusing to me lord I'm terrified

Never been much on religion but I sure enough just fell down on my knees

Ohhhhohhhohh

The trick to this song is; some parts sound better played in first position and others you'll need to play
the fretboard
to get the best sound. If you can get a copy of it on tape or CD you'll see what I mean.

For those of you who missed the Burton Cummings "Intimate and Interactive" on Canada's Much More Music station
on Monday Nov. 1, He had Randy on with him playing some guitar and also indicated that they were seriously
considering the possibilty of a "Guess Who" reunion tour this winter!!

Have Fun
