[Bm] [A] [G] [Bm] [A] [G]

Well, there a[Bm]in't no phone and the grass don't grow
In the older part of New [A]Mexic[G]o
I d[Bm]rifted into town one day
Stumbled in on a l[A]ost caf[G]e
The s[G]hades were pulled and the door was locked [A]

But something made me knock
[Bm]Time stood still when she opened the door
I didn't know where I w[A]as anymor[G]e [Bm]

And we were lost in each others eyes
Where loneliness meets p[A]aradis[G]e
[G]Something in my heart broke free [A]

Blowing wild as a tumble weed

[G/D]Somewhere north of H[Bm]eaven
Where [A]eagles fear to [G]fly
The sun burns hot as the D[Bm]evil's gaze [A]

Where desert meets the sky
[D]Tattooed on my m[G]emory is the i[A]mage of an angels f[Bm]ace
[Em]North of Heaven, s[A]outh of Santa F[Bm]e

Bad news tends to travel fast
And I was running from my past
I left her when the morning broke
The truth is I never let her go
Now I'm still running free
But in my heart I'll always be
