Lets Think About Living

[D]In every other song that I've heard lately,
[A]some fellow gets [D]shot.
[D]And his baby and his best friend both die with him,
[A]as likely as [D]not.
In [G]half of the other songs some Cat's crying,
[D]or ready to die.
[D]We've lost most of our happy people,
and [A]I'm wondering [D]why.

[D]Let's think about [A]living..let's think about [D]loving.
Let's think about the [A]whoopin'and hoppin and boppin'
and the lovie, lovie [D]dovin'.
[D]Let's forget about the [G]whinin' and the cryin'

and the shooting and the dying..
and the [D]fella with a switchblade knife..
Let's think about [A]living..let's think about [D]life.

[D]We lost old Marty Robbins down in El [A]Paso,
a little while [D]back.
[D]And now Miss Patti Page or one of [A]them,
is wearing [D]black.
And [G]Cathy's Clown has Don and Phil where they [D]feel like

they could die.
[D]If we keep on losin' our singers like that,
I'll [A]be the only one you can [D]buy!

[A][D][D]
[D]Let's think about [A]livin'..let's think about [D]life.(x2) Fade..
