The River Of Dreams

In[G] the middle of the night I [G]go walking in my sleep

fr[C]om the mountains of fa[D]ith to a river so deep

I [G]must be looking for something s[G]omething sacred I lost

Bu[C]t the river is wide and it's[D] too hard to cross

An[Em]d even thought I knew the rive[D]r is wide

I [C]walk down every evenin[Am]g and I stand on the shore

An[Em]d try to cross to the oppo[D]site side

So[Am] I can finally find out what I've [D]been looking for

Th[C]rough the  valley of [D]fear to a river so deep

An[G]d I've been searching for som[G]ething taken away of my soul

So[C]mething I would never lose[D] something somebody stole

I [Em]don't know why I go walk[D]ing at night

Bu[C]t now I'm tired and [Am]I don't walk anymore

I [Em]hope it doesn't take the rest[D] of my life

Un[Am]til I find what it is I've b[D]een looking for

Th[C]rough the jungle of do[D]ubt to a river so deep

I [G]know I'm searching for so[G]mething something so undefined

Th[C]at it only can be seen b[D]y the eyes of a blind

Ba[Em]btized by the fire, I wade[Am] into the river

Th[Am]at turns to be the[D] promised land

Th[C]rough the desert of tr[D]uth to a river so deep

We[G]'re all land in the ocean we[G] all start in the streams

We[C]'re all carried along by[D] the river of dreams
