When Love Comes To Town

[E] [A] [E]

[E]I was a sailor, I was [A]lost in [E]sea
[E]I was under the waves, before [A]love resqued [E]me
[E]I was a fighter, I could [A]turn on the [E]threat
Now [E]I stand accused of things I've said

[A]Love comes to town,

I'm gonna jump that train
When [E]love comes to town
I'm gonna catch that [A]flame
[E] Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I [E]did what I did before love came to town

[E] [A] [E]

[E]Used to make love under the [A]red sunset [E]
[E]I was making promises that I were [A]soon to for[E]get
[E]She was pale as the lace of her [A]wedding [E]gown
But I [E]left her standing before love came to town.

[E]Ran into a juke joint when I heard a [A]guitar scr[E]eam
[E]The notes were turning blue as days [A]are a dre[E]am
[E]As the music played I saw my life [A]turn aro[E]und
[E]That was the day before love came to town

[A]Love comes to town,

I'm gonna jump that train
When [E]love comes to town
I'm gonna catch that [A]flame
[E] Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I [E]did what I did before love came to town

Then The Edge plays a solo followed by:

[A]Love comes to town,

I'm gonna jump that train
When [E]love comes to town
I'm gonna catch that [A]flame
[E] Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I [E]did what I did before love came to town

Then BB King plays a solo followed by:

[E]I was there when they crusified my [A]lord [E]
[E]I held the scabbard when the soldier drew his [A]sword [E]
[E]I threw the dice as they pierced his [A]side [E]
[E] But I've seen love conquer the great divide

[A]Love comes to town,

I'm gonna jump that train
When [E]love comes to town
I'm gonna catch that [A]flame
[E] Maybe I was wrong to ever let you down
But I [E]did what I did before love came to town

BB plays a second solo and then fade.
