[A] [A7] [D] [D]

[A]My heart lies heavy[A7]
On dreams and expec[D]tations
And every night that I'm away from you[A]
I'm always going[A7]
You wait with so much [D]patience
I count the days until I'm home with you[Bm]
The horizon hides Chi[D]cago

And summer brings the h[A]eat
The summer's all you n[A7]eed
And I [D]won't let you down
I [D]won't let you...
The autumn breeze blows [A]cold
But girl I'm comin' [A7]home
And I [D]won't let you down
I [D]won't let you down

Oh, no

use same chords as verse 1)
I've always heard that distances brings us closer
I don't feel close at all without you here
My stomach turns
It's love that makes me nervous
Each time it brings me closer to relief
I'm northbound toward Chicago

Repeat Chorus

[Bm]I've gotta know that [D]you'll be mine
And [A]I'm all you [E]need
[Bm]I know it's hard for [D]you to say
But [A]say you'll wait for [E]me

Picking)

And summer brings the h[A]eat
This song is all you n[A7]eed
And I [D]won't let you down
I [D]won't let you...

Final Chorus

And summer brings the [A]heat
This song is all you n[A7]eed
And I w[D]on't let you down
I [D]won't let you...
The autumn breeze blows [A]cold
But girl I'm comin' [A7]home
And I [D]won't let you down
I [D]won't let you down
Oh, n[A]o

enjoy.
