Of Treasure

[Em] [D] [Em] [Bm] [Em] [D] [Bm] [Em]

A [Em]dreaded curse - Is spoken of
By [G]all men [D]of the [Em]sea - An ancient tale
Of pirate's woe - And [G]sailor's [D]trage[Em]dy

A [Em]map was drawn - By grizzled men
For[G]gotten [D]years a[Em]go - A chest of glory
And mortal sin - That [G]none should [D]ever [Em]know

And they [G]searched and they searched
And they [D]searched and they searched
For for[Em]bidden treasure [Bm]old
And this [G]curse, and this [D]curse,
and this [Em]curse, and this [Bm]curse
Will for[Em]ever now [Bm]be [Em]told

A [Em]pirate captain - Of many years
Had [G]heard these [D]whispers [Em]grim - But lust for treasure
And endless wealth - Had [G]all but [D]blinded [Em]him

He [Em]hired a crew - Of hardy men
To [G]help him [D]in his [Em]cause - They never knew
The danger of - This [G]bounty's [D]evil [Em]force

And they [G]searched and they searched
And they [D]searched and they searched
For for[Em]bidden treasure [Bm]old
And this [G]curse, and this [D]curse,
and this [Em]curse, and this [Bm]curse
Will for[Em]ever now [Bm]be [Em]told

Now [Em]stormy nights - When moon is full
Will [G]herald [D]in their [Em]call - A ghostly crew
Who loot and kill - 'til [G]all bef[D]ore them [Em]fall

Now listen, lad - Remember this
When [G]foul winds [D]blow a [Em]gale - Lest shadow come
And write your name - In [G]adage [D]to this [Em]tale
